Delta promotes free Wi-Fi and Amazon.com

Posted

If free Wi-Fi influences what airline you fly, then go ahead and toss Delta’s name into the ring. The airline company announced Monday that passengers will have access to free Wi-Fi.

However, as Q13 FOX news online reports, the experience will be limited to Amazon.com.

A Delta representative told the paper that the in-flight shopping experience will help passengers accomplish tasks while in air.

“Our customers enjoy our free content options in-flight and free access to Amazon provides a convenient way to shop online at 30,000 feet for things they want on the ground,” Delta vice president of marketing Bob Kupbens said to the FOX reporter.

The article also said that Delta “claims to maintain the largest fleet of Wi-Fi equipped aircrafts.”

The service is called Delta Connect and it also offers limited access to current news and travel information through its browser.
