Despite apology Limbaugh losing sponsors

Flower delivery company Proflowers is the seventh advertiser to pull its ads from Rush Limbaugh’s conservative radio talk show.

Limbaugh called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a “slut” after she advocated for contraception coverage in a Democratic hearing this week. [Read: Limbaugh apologizes for slut comment.]

Sponsors began pulling their promos in reaction to Rush’s derogatory comments, despite his apology.

Limbaugh apologized for the comment Saturday, after being criticized by Republican and Democratic politicians.

“My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir,” Limbaugh said in a statement on his website. “I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.”
