PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTVR) - A 26-year-old man allegedly robbed a woman as she got off of a bus and then later called and asked her to go on a date, according to KDKA-TV.
Police admitted that this is surely one of the strangest robberies they have ever investigated.
John Jardini allegedly took $60 from the woman, who had just gotten off a bus and was waiting for her mother. [Click here to read more from KDKA.]
After the robbery, Jardini allegedly called the woman on his cell phone twice, asking her if she had a boyfriend and if she wanted to go out with him.
Later, once police got Jardini’s phone records and were looking for him, the suspect reportedly assaulted the same woman -- and her mother outside a store.
Jardini is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
