DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – An elite team from the State’s Attorney General’s Office will soon pour over the dozens of items confiscated from inside a Dinwiddie County home, and they’ll be looking for both pornographic pictures and videos.
Sheriff’s Investigators confiscated the items after an informant told them underage children had been videotaped having sex with an adult.
The tip came shortly after 73-year-old Frank Loftis and 21-year-old Joshua Elder were arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and giving a false report to sheriff’s investigators.
Elder is also charged with carnal knowledge of a thirteen-year-old, who investigators say had run away from home and been in the company of the pair at Loftis’ home on Hawkins Road.
Once inside the home, investigators found video cameras throughout the house, connected to various computers as well as hundreds of CD’s, DVD’s, floppy discs and videotapes.
During the search, they also uncovered child pornography, which is why the confiscated items are being sent to the Attorney General’s office, for further study.
Loftis is charged with child pornography.
Both remain in the Dinwiddie County jail.
Dinwiddie County Commonwealth’s Attorney Lisa Caruso asks if anyone has been inside the home, and believe they may have been unknowingly videotaped or knew they were being taped, to please contact the Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office with the information.
