LOUISA, Va. (WTVR) – The USGS has confirmed another aftershock took place early Sunday morning in Central Virginia.

The magnitude-2.7 aftershock happened at 2:12 a.m. Sunday northwest of Richmond.

Many folks on the CBS 6 Facebook page said they felt the tremor.

“I am sitting at my computer and I felt it here or Shannon Hill Rd,” wrote Clara House. “It felt pretty strong.”

Morgan Angelina Montecalvo also felt the shaking.

“Yes I was already awake and it sounded and felt bigger than 2.7,” she wrote. “Scared me, I am in Manakin sabot… my fiance & son slept right through it though.”[CONNECT: Click here to share your experience on the CBS 6 Facebook page]

Dozens of aftershocks have occurred since a magnitude-5.8 earthquake shook Virginia — and much of the East Coast — on Aug. 23, 2011.

However, a magnitude-3.2 aftershock in late January ranks among the top five biggest aftershocks since the initial magnitude 5.8 earthquake

Here’s a summary of the biggest aftershocks so far Storm Team 6 Meteorologist Carrie Rose:

4.5 mag: August 25, 2011 at 1:07AM
