HENRICO, Va. (WTVR)- A routine traffic stop turned into a high-speed chase Saturday night in Henrico County.
Police tell us they attempted to stop a vehicle on Old Brook Rd. at 11:14 p.m. Saturday, but the driver failed to pull over. Police began to give chase two minutes later.
Then, at 11:31 p.m., police say the chase ended in the 4300 block of Pine Top Rd. when the subject fled the vehicle on foot. He was quickly captured.
Police say Jonathon C. Thomas, 23, was the driver of that vehicle. He is facing charges of eluding police, driving on a suspended license, and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Thomas was also served with previous warrants from November, 2011 for falsely identifying himself to law enforcement, eluding police, and driving with a suspended license.
