PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Officials said Saturday that a 35-year-old Petersburg woman accused of stealing more than $15,000 while she worked for the Commonwealth was arrested Friday.

Virginia State Police Sergeant Thomas J. Molnar said LaToya Wilson, of the 4000 block of Kenneth Drive in Petersburg, was arrested Friday by Special Agents with the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Wilson was arrested on seven felony counts of Obtaining Money by False Pretense.

Police said Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services officials in Petersburg accuse Wilson of stealing over $15,000 between January 2008 and March 2011. That is when she was working as a nurse for the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

Wilson was released on a $10,000 unsecured personal recognizance bond pending her appearance in the Dinwiddie County Circuit Court on Feb. 21, 2012.

Officials said their investigating into this case continues.
