PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR) – Petersburg firefighters battled a blaze at the Flagship Inn Saturday afternoon in the 800 block of S. Crater Rd.
Firefighters responded at approximately 2 p.m. and found two units completely engulfed in flames.
Fortunately, the units were unoccupied at the time, however a man living below those units was transported to the hospital with complaints of chest pain.
According to Petersburg Fire Department officials, the fire has displaced more than 20 people.
This incident is under investigation, and the cause is unknown at this time.
