RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A new flower has been bred to showcase the spirit of Virginia Tech. The maroon and orange daylily is called “VT Spirit,” and it was bred and introduced by a Va. Tech graduate Linda Pinkham.

The Virginia Department of Agriculture said the plant’s bloom season is longer than average for daylilies.

It’s being sold right now online through Brent and Becky’s Bulbs in Gloucester, and is also available through the business’ catalog.
