RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Some drivers in Richmond, Virginia got an unusual warning this Friday the 13th. A Virginia Department of Transportation sign on Old Gun Road near Robious Road read “Zombies Ahead” and “Increased speed ahead.”
The sign was supposed to alert drivers to road work that scheduled to be done in the area in the coming days, VDOT spokeswoman Dawn Eischen told CBS 6.
She said someone hacked into the sign and changed the message. Eischen expected the sign to be fixed by 12:30 p.m.
VDOT is investigating to determine what, if any, damage the sign endured, Eischen said.
