Lanes on I-64 reopen after signs fall on roadway

HENRICO, VA (WTVR) - All eastbound lanes on I-64 at mile-marker 197 have reopened after a single-vehicle accident knocked down an overhead highway sign structure.

The accident occured when Ramsey Ugarte, 19, of Columbia, South Carolina, ran the 2008 Toyota Four Runner he was driving off the left side of the highway, crashing into the sign support pole.

Neither Ugarte nor his passenger suffered any injuries. Police tell us they were wearing their seatbelts.

Ugarte has been charged with making an unsafe lane change.
