RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) - Police released security camera video that showed a woman robbed at gunpoint outside a Midlothian Turnpike gas station in Richmond, Virginia. Police hope the release of the video helps detectives catch the men involved.
"The is not your typical robbery," said Richmond police spokesman Gene Lepley. "The woman was actually sitting in her car. She had just pulled into the space in front of the gas station."
The video showed the suspects walk up to the woman's car and flash a gun. At that point, police said, the suspects demand money from the woman.
"She gives up her wallet, wisely, doesn't try to pull away or contest it because the man was armed," Lepley said.
The robbery occurred at 1:00 a.m. on November 29, 2011, outside the Valero gas station along the 6200 block of Midlothian Turnpike.
