Metro Richmond Zoo
Metro Richmond Zoo’s SkyTracker camera is located on a building over looking the turtle habitat in Chesterfield, Virginia.
Metro Richmond Zoo is situated on 70 rolling acres in western Chesterfield County. Rhino, tigers, lions, chimpanzees, bats, orangutans, alligators and 200 monkeys are just a few of the 800+ animals displayed in large naturalistic exhibits. Get up close and personal with many of the zoo’s wildlife and experience the rare opportunity to pet and hand feed the gentle giants, the giraffes. Stroll through the aviary among the birds. Listen to the daily calls of the Siamang gibbons. Watch the prairie dogs dig tunnels as they expand their town. See the Asiatic bears wrestle in their pool beneath the waterfall. Visit with the keepers as they feed the penguins and share interesting facts and information.
Enjoy a scenic tour high above the zoo on the Safari Sky ride and take a spin on the Jungle Carousel. Picnic facilities and concessions available, featuring Noble Roman’s pizza and subs. Open year round.
