The event featured wines from ten different Virginia vineyards to showcase the Commonwealth’s growing reputation as a great place for wine.
Nine Virginia wineries are scheduled to be featured at the festival.
The first of 17 new wine signs was unveiled Thursday at King Family Vineyards in Crozet.
Today Governor Bob McDonnell revealed plans to place along well-traveled primary and secondary roads alerting drivers that they have entered a particular wine region.
