While the flames caused thousands of dollars in damage, members say it could’ve been much worse.
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church wants to raise $500,000 to help pay for repairs that have already been made or still need to be done.
As powerful storms moved through the area on June 25, one of the city’s trees smashed through Carl Archacki’s roof.
A tree, which is around six feet in diameter, fell in between two homes in the City Point section of Hopewell.
John and Jane Guyton just know they heard something. One says it sounded like and explosion, the other a train but both agree, in a matter of seconds, they had a giant hole in their house.
