In an interview with CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett, the man said he was surprised his grandchild found the weapon.
A second grader in his onesie pajamas was in his grandfather’s care Monday night at their East End home, seemingly oblivious to the trouble he was in after bringing a gun to school.
Police said the student threatened classmates.
