Celebrate International Observe the Moon night on September 22, and honor the memory of Astronaut Neil Armstrong by looking up and winking at the moon this month.
Neil Armstrong was memorialized Friday in a private service held by his family in Ohio. Memorials were also being held around the country, including events at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Beverly Orndoff still has his press pass from when he covered the first astronauts to land on the moon July 20, 1969.
The news comes weeks after Armstrong had heart surgery and days after he turned 82. Watch CBS 6 News at 6 p.m. for updates on this developing story.
