Politicians across Virginia have speculated for months if Lt. Governor Bill Bolling will leave the Republican Party and run for Governor as an Independent.
Neither candidate seems to have an advantage in Virginia’s upcoming race to replace Governor Bob McDonnell .
There is only one way for Cuccinelli to guarantee that Bolling doesn’t appear as a spoiler on the November ballot.
Voter recognition remains low for all three candidates.
“I have been tremendously encouraged,” Bolling said.
Bolling said he intended to work as an “independent voice in politics.”
Bolling announced his decision in an email to supporters.
