WTVR, the CBS affiliate in Richmond, Va, seeks an experienced News Director.

We are looking for a forward thinking journalist with exceptional communication skills to lead an award-winning news team in a highly competitive east coast market.  The successful candidate must be able to produce exciting and compelling content on all media platforms and manage a strategic, focused plan.

The News Director will be responsible for managing and improving news content quality.  He/she will also be responsible for maintaining a budget and handling personnel issues.  This position requires strong talent recruiting and development skills.

The News Director will report to the General Manager and work very closely with Marketing, Sales and Programming to uphold an established, credible news brand that keeps the operation competitive and profitable. Candidate must have a minimum of five years upper level news management experience and a related college degree.

WTVR-TV is hiring an Account Executive to become part of our CBS 6 sales team.  This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with strong growth potential.  We are searching for an individual who is hard working, detail oriented, and able to provide outstanding customer service.

Candidates should have experience in new business development, creating PowerPoint presentations, and at least two years sales experience.  College degree preferred.
