    HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Highland Springs quarterback Juwan Carter threw for two and rushed for two touchdowns as the 2nd ranked Springers defeated Henrico 56-20 for their 16th straight win in the series.     The Richmond Spiders will get a clear understanding of where they stand in the CAA in the next three games.  They past the first test on Homecoming Saturday with a 23-0 win over Villanova.     Virginia Tech may not want to see the Carrier Dome any more.  The Hokies lost at Syracuse 31-17 marking the 5th time that Tech lost at the Dome as a ranked team.  The loss also snapped the Hokies three game winning streak and gave them their first defeat in conference.     Clarke sets school record in Manchester’s win over Midlothian

    Midlothian, VA – Manchester quarterback Brendan Clarke threw for a school record 298 yards and three touchdowns as the Lancers fought off a tough Midlothian team 54-26. Trojans’ cornerback Jermani Brown had two touchdowns in the first quarter as they trailed Manchester 21-20 after a quarter.  Then the Lancers would score 33 unanswered that proved to be too much for the Trojans. Manchester improved to 6-0 on the year while the Trojans fell to 1-5 on the season.

    Damgard has record setting day in Saints win

    Richmond, VA – St. Christopher’s quarterback John Damgard had a day to remember against Fork Union.  Damgard went 28-48 for a school record 419 yards and six touchdowns, also a new school mark as the Saints won a shootout over FUMA 50-42. Two of Damgard’s touchdown passes were to Hayden Mitchell, who had 226 receiving yards, which set a school record as well.
