    22nd ranked VCU lost their second straight and a share of first in the A-10, 58-55 to Dayton.  Treveon Graham and Mo Alie-Cox led the Rams with 12 points. Richmond won their 4th in a row and their 10th conference game this season, 63-57 at St. Joe’s .  Kendall Anthony led all scorers with 23 points.   • Conference 20 Semifinals Recap

    In the Conference 20 Boys semifinals, the top seed Glen Allen beat Dinwiddie 53-43 and Caroline defeated Monacan 53-50. In the Conference 20 Girls semifinals, the top seed Monacan downed Glen Allen 63-50 and Midlothian beat J.R. Tucker 70-40.

  • UVA wins again but may have lost another starter!

    2nd ranked UVA beat Florida St. 51-41, holding an opponent to under 50 points for the fourth time in their last five games.  During the game, starting point guard London Perrantes left the game early in the second half with a possible broken nose.  Anthony Gill led three players in double figures with 13 points.   • VCU remains in 1st in the A-10 and honors an all-time great

    25th ranked VCU beat UMass 78-72 to keep a share of first place in the A-10 and they retired the #20 jersey of Bradford Burgess.  He is just the 5th men’s player to have his jersey retired.   • Treveon Graham returns in VCU’s win, UVA survives Wake’s upset bid

    VCU saw the return of leading scorer Treveon Graham to the lineup and the Rams snapped a two-game losing streak with a 79-66 win over George Washington to end the Colonials 12-game home winning streak.  Graham scored 10 in his first game back since the leaving the St. Bonaventure game early after re-injuring his ankle.  He was one of four players in double figures.  Melvin Johnson scored a team high 17 points, hitting five three-pointers.   • Spiders drop one at home and UVA deals with life after losing their energy

    The Richmond Spiders were unable to get over the home Sunday afternoon, as they fell to Rhode Island 79-74.  Kendall Anthony scored a season-high 28 but the Spiders were outrebounded 44-29 due to the absence of Alonzo Nelson-Ododa, who suffered a concussion in the first half. Lane Casadonte was in Charlottesville to see how UVA is dealing with the loss of Justin Anderson.  

  • UVA takes down Louisville but loses Anderson in the win

    Malcolm Brogdon scored 15 points, while Anthony Gill added 11 for the Cavs, who are now 21-1 on the season.

  • VCU wins and loses at George Mason

    Already without senior point guard Briante Weber, VCU lost Treveon Graham in the first half of their 72-60 win over George Mason after he re-aggravated an ankle injury he suffered against Rhode Island.  Melvin Johnson was one of several Rams that stepped up in his absence, scoring a game high 17.  JeQuan Lewis, starting for the injured Weber, scored 11 of his 13 in the second half.  VCU has 13 of their 14 games.   • UVA gets bounce back win at UNC

    The Virginia Cavaliers rebounded from their loss against Duke last Saturday with a 75-64 win over 12th ranked North Carolina.  Malcolm Brogdon led the Cavs with 17.  Justin Anderson added 16 for UVA, who at 20-1, is off to their best start in three decades.  UVA shot 52% from the field for the game and held the Tar Heels to 38% shooting after halftime.
