  • VCU Loses A-10 Baseball Final

    The VCU Rams were defeated in the A-10 Baseball final to George Mason 3-2 in 10 innings. William & Mary lost in the CAA Baseball final to College of Charleston 6-4. Flying Squirrels dropped their 2nd straight at home to Trenton 6-4. The Kickers snapped a two-game losing streak to Charlotte 2-0. The Raiders ended their three-game losing streak with a 55-33 win over Harrisburg.

    UVA beat North Carolina in the ACC tournament 3-2. William & Mary advanced to the CAA title game with a 12-4 win over UNC-Wilmington. The Squirrels fell at home to Trenton 6-1 The Richmond Kickers prepare for their home match against Charlotte.

    American Lizette Salas wins her first LPGA tour event at Kingsmill. Former JMU standout Stephon Robertson hopes to make the Redskins roster. New England could practice with the Redskins in Richmond this summer. Richmond Kickers battle to a scoreless draw in Chicago. The Flying Squirrels beat Altoona 8-2.

    Former VT and Deep Run standout Antone Exum was drafted by Minnesota in the 6th round. Former Hokie quarterback Logan Thomas was taken by Arizona in the 4th round.   • Kickers Keep Unbeaten Streak Alive

    Richmond Kickers tied with Pittsburgh 2-2 to extend their regular season unbeaten streak at home to 22 matches. Richmond Spiders named their starting quarterback after their Spring Game. Richmond Raiders were defeated by Harrisburg 48-27. Flying Squirrels took two of three at Altoona with a 7-3 win. VCU beat LaSalle 11-1. UVA took care of UNC 3-1.

  • Squirrels Drops One in Altoona

    The Squirrels fell at Altoona 2-1. VCU lost at home to LaSalle 6-3. And previews of the Richmond Raiders and Kickers home games on Saturday.  

  • Redskins Training Camp Dates are Set

    The NFL has announced when the Washington Redskins will start training camp this summer. Former JMU quarterback Michael Birdsong is frustrated about his transfer options. VCU’s Shaka Smart and Richmond’s Chris Mooney met in the 2nd annual Coaches Cook-Off. Juvonte Reddic will miss the remainder of the PIT. Squirrels win again, 2-1 over Altoona.

  • Squirrels Finish Homestand with a Win

    The Flying Squirrels beat Reading 4-1 to finish a 4-2 homestand. VCU Baseball won at home 13-1 in seven innings over Norfolk St. UVA beat William & Mary 11-2 to complete the season sweep. JMU Athletics will not join the Sun Belt Conference.

  • Squirrels Winning Streak Stops at Three

    The Flying Squirrels lost to Reading 7-4. UVA Baseball is number one again. Former Matoaca standout Michael Birdsong has transferred from JMU.

  • Mixed results for UVA quarterbacks at Spring Game

    UVA’s Head Coach Mike London still mum on who his starting quarterback is. JMU held their Spring Game. Richmond Raiders come back from down 17 to win their first of the season. Flying Squirrels won their second in a row with late inning heroics.

  • VCU Snaps Losing Streak and a No-No in Pittsburgh

    VCU ended their three-game losing streak with a 10-3 win over St. Joseph’s. Richmond lost to LaSalle 4-3 to end a five-game winning streak. Former James River star Nathan Kirby tossed a no-hitter in UVA 4-0 win over Pittsburgh.  He struck out 18 and walked just one.
