    In Saturday’s night Sportscast, Virginia Tech beat East Carolina 54-17.  Quarterback Jerod Evans threw for a career high 282 yards and four touchdowns.  He also ran for career best 92 yards.  Hokies’ special teams returned a punt for a touchdown, blocked a punt and field goal attempt in the win.     The newest number one team in our CBS 6/Fox Sports 910 poll, Dinwiddie exploded in the 3rd quarter for 42 points as they beat Hopewell 63-21 to remain unbeaten at 4-0.     In Saturday night’s sportscast, the Richmond Spiders, ranked 2nd in the FCS national polls, was upset by Stony Brook 42-14. James Madison lost at North Carolina 56-28. William & Mary won at newly renovated Zable Stadium 35-10 over Norfolk St. Virginia Tech won their ACC opener 49-0 over Boston College. UVA fell to 0-3 on the season as they lost at UConn 13-10.
