Matoaca High School employee investigated for sexual misconduct

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – A Matoaca High School employee was placed on administrative leave as Chesterfield Police investigate claims that multiple students were touched inappropriately at school. CBS 6 received a tip about the investigation from a concerned viewer.

When asked about the situation, Chesterfield Police confirmed they were investigating, but added no charges have been filed.

"It was reported that a known adult male may have inappropriately touched several juveniles over a period of time at Matoaca High School," a police spokesperson said. "The investigation is ongoing."

When asked about the investigation, a  Chesterfield County Public Schools spokesperson said:

“This is an ongoing personnel matter, the employee is on administrative leave."
