RICHMOND, Va. – A woman was transported to the hospital after she was struck by gunfire inside a South Richmond apartment Thursday night. The shooting happened at approximately 9 p.m. at Southwood Apartments in the 1500 block of Clarkson Road, according to police.
Gunfire exchange outside the apartment, investigators said. At some point, a bullet went into the door of an apartment and struck the woman. She was shot in the shoulder and suffered a non-life-threatening injury.
No information about a shooting suspect has been released.
