Shot fired when masked men rob Chesterfield convenience store

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify two men wanted for an armed robbery at a Chesterfield convenience store Sunday evening.

Lt. Harold Childs with Chesterfield Police said officers were called to Spencer's convenience store at 4000 Kingsland Road around 5:55 p.m.

Childs said two masked men walked into the store and demanded money.

"One suspect was armed with a handgun and fired a shot during the robbery," Childs said. "The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash."

No one was injured.

The first suspect is described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, black shoes and a black mask.

The second suspect is described as having a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, black pants, black mask and black shoes.

Police said their investigation into the crime is ongoing.
