Richmond Ballet’s The NutCracker & Disney On Ice presents Dream Big

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Ballet and its beloved holiday tradition The Nutcracker is back for the Holidays to the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Arts Center, through December 23, with the Richmond Symphony playing Tchaikovsky’s score for all performances.

Choreographed by Stoner Winslett, The holiday classic features the company’s full roster of professionals, as well as 29 trainees and over 185 accomplished students from the School of Richmond Ballet.

Also, The Richmond Ballet and the Richmond SPCA are partnering for the 7th year for Pupcracker.

Audiences can catch a glimpse of SPCA puppies in their Nutcracker Saturday, December 16th at 2pm or Thursday, December 21 at 2 p.m.

Adoptable puppies have onstage cameos in the first act of Richmond Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker.  All puppies from the performance (and more) are then available for adoption and meet and greets during the intermission and after the show. Also happening Disney On Ice presents Dream Big, Disney’s most courageous leading ladies told through artistic skating and acrobatics in Disney On Ice presents Dream Big at the Richmond Coliseum. Audiences are invited to join eight Disney Princesses – Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White – as they embark on incredible adventures, determined to make their dreams come true.
