Richmond Walmart reopens after bomb threat evacuation

RICHMOND, Va. – A Richmond Walmart Supercenter has been reopened after a bomb threat call evacuated the store late Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened at the Walmart located at 2410 Shelia Lane, near Forest Hill Ave.

A Walmart employee told CBS 6 that she answered a call to the fitting room that said ”there is a bomb in the building.”

One witness said that a “Code Brown” was called on the PA system, then the store was evacuated.

After a sweep of the store, police deemed there was no bomb in the building and the store was reopened.
