RICHMOND, Va. -- An arctic cold front is moving across the state Tuesday afternoon. West-northwest winds will kick up a bit this evening and temperatures will lower into the low 20s by sunrise (some teens in rural areas).
Wednesday will bring a good amount of sunshine, but afternoon temperatures will only be in the mid 30s.
An upper-level disturbance passing by Wednesday night may bring a few light snow showers or flurries overnight into early Thursday morning.
Temperatures will then moderate back into the upper 40s Thursday afternoon, before the next round of cold air arrives on Friday.
Temperatures will be in the 30s on Friday and we may see a few more snow flurries.
Expect a gradual warming trend this weekend, with mid 40s Saturday and mid 50s Sunday.
