PETERSBURG, Va. -- Cyndee Blount, the Chief Academic Officer of Petersburg City Public Schools, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
Her arrest took place Thursday, November 9, near Highlander Place and Walnut Grove Road in Hanover County, according to the Hanover Sheriff's Office.
The arrest was her first offense, a sheriff's office spokesperson added.
"Petersburg City Public Schools does not comment on specific employee situations," Petersburg Schools spokesperson Leigh Ann McKelway said about the arrest.
