WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- A 16-year-old girl who was abducted in Woodbridge early Sunday morning has been found.

Police say Sinahi Aguilar Cruz has been found safe in Prince William County as of 2:47 p.m. They also located 21-year-old Roberto Medrano Segovia, who is believed to have abducted Cruz, and took him into custody.

Virginia State Police issued an Amber Alert for Cruz at 1:43 a.m. after officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to a report of a possible abduction in the 14800 block of Danville Road in Woodbridge. An initial investigation revealed that Cruz was attending a party on Danville Road with Segovia when the two got into a verbal altercation and separated. At one point, Cruz exited the home and witnesses observed Segovia forcing her into a vehicle, which was described as a dark color Honda Civic, possibly a hatchback.

Cruz was described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds with long, straight brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt with purple stripes, denim jean pants and a light colored jacket.
