RICHMOND, Va. — The Front Porch Cafeis a new eatery and job skills center in Richmond’s East End.

The two-in-one restaurant offers customers the chance get some breakfast or lunch, while also holding conversations and training for economic opportunities in the area.

Tiffany Granell, the owner of the cafe, said their partnership with a local non-profit youth program called CHAT has helped inspire community involvement.

“What makes this place different than a lot of other cafes… is because of the mission of wanting to employ young people from this community, but also just bringing people in and welcoming everyone,” Granell said.

The Front Porch Cafe has another soft opening slated for Friday, Oct. 13 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. offering a limited menu for people to test.
