Richmond man dead after gunman opens fire inside Wendy’s

DISPUTANTA, Va. -- Virginia State Police are assisting local authorities after a person opened fire around  4 p.m. inside a Wendy's at the Pilot Travel Center on Country Drive, killing one 19-year-old male.

Police said that a man walked into the side entrance of the Wendy’s that is connected to the Pilot Travel Center and opened fire.

Several rounds were fired while patrons were inside.

A med-flight was called, but then the call was canceled. Coron Bond, a Richmond resident, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Police said that an altercation occurred between two female employees and that one person called someone. Police said that one person of interest, a Wendy's employee named Norma Glover, was connected to the deceased victim.

The person who responded fired shots and an employee ran off with the shooter, police said. They are looking for three persons of interest, which includes the shooter. Glover, described as an 18-year-old black woman, 5'6"  with the last known address in Petersburg.  They are also seeking the other Wendy's employee, and Tatiyana Wright, though no description was provided. No description was provided of the male suspect either.

Police said they are searching for a gray, 2006 Ford Focus with license plates VWM-6952, owned by Glover.

Multiple people believed to be family responded to the scene, crying and hugging in the parking lot.

State Troopers searched the outside of the property Monday evening as Prince George Police secured the scene inside the Wendy’s.
