Man fighting for his life after drive-by shooting near Richmond Rite-Aid

RICHMOND, Va. – Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in broad daylight in Richmond’s Southside Tuesday afternoon.

Richmond Police said the drive-by shooting happened around 4:20 p.m. near the intersection of 19 Street and Hull Street, near the Rite-Aid pharmacy. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound.

Police said after being shot, the victim ran to the Rite-Aid parking lot, where he collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The victim was walking on Hull Street, when a vehicle drove up and shot him, according to investigators.

Police said there is no information on any possible motive or suspect at this time.
