RICHMOND, Va. -- Secco Wine Bar is offering tasty incentives to encourage customers to disconnect from social media while hoping to attract customers looking for a digital detox.

The establishment, located in Richmonnd’s Fan on North Robinson Street, is offering pecials for customers willing to put their phones away while they enjoy their food and drinks.

Owner Julia Battaglini and General Manager David Martin want their wine bar to be a place for people to relax at the end of the day.

"The idea is that you ignore the chatter, the outside world and you connect with the people that you love,” Battaglini said said. “That's all we're trying to bring to the table.”

Secco has a patio for people to use when its nice outside and is also a dog-friendly restaurant.

The business began as an extension of River City Cellars, a wine shop in Carytown which closed down five years ago.
