CHESTER, Va. -- Police are investigating a crime at Walmart on Iron Bridge Road in Chester.
A man, armed with a gun, robbed the Walmart at about 9:52 a.m. Friday, Crime Insider sources told Jon Burkett.
Chesterfield Police later confirmed the sources' information.
"The suspect entered the business, handed the clerk a note demanding money and displayed a firearm. The suspect fled the store on foot taking with him an undisclosed amount of money," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said.
The search for the suspect is on-going and included police officers, K9 units, and aerial support.
"The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20's or early 30's, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood, black pants and black shoes," the police spokesperson said.
Non one was injured during the robbery.
