CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. — State Police have identified the woman who died in a single vehicle crash in Caroline County near the Hanover County line.
Officials say that 71-year-old Nona L. Bonheimer of Daniels Island, South Carolina was traveling north on Route 301 just north of Mount Gideon Road when her 2015 Subaru Outback ran off the road to the left into an embankment before striking a tree.
Bonheimer was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
