HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Two people were shot in what was initially described as a drive-by shooting in eastern Henrico Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting victims were shot outside a home in the 2200 block of Carlisle Avenue, off Williamsburg Avenue.

Crime Insider sources tell Jon Burkett that one of the victims was shot in the face.

One of the shooting victims suffered a serious injury, the other a non-life threatening injury, police said.

Both victims were taken to the hospital.

A silver Chevy Impala was towed away from the crime scene. There is no word on who owns the vehicle or why it was removed from the neighborhood.

Right now, police have no motive or a suspect description and they need the public's help.

If you have any information regarding the shooting on Carlisle Avenue, call Henrico police at 501-5000 or Crimestoppers at 780-1000.

This is a developing story. Witnesses can submit news tips and photos here.
