HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A man died of injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash along I-64 in Henrico County Saturday afternoon.

Sgt. Steve Vick with Virginia State Police said the wreck happened at 1:56 p.m. near the Parham Road exit at mile marker 181.

That is where troopers said a Hyundai Accent traveling west on I-64 ran of the road and struck a Toyota Avalon that was abandoned on the interstate’s right shoulder.

The male driver of the Hyundai was transported to Henrico Doctors Hospital where he later died; he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Vick said the crash remains under investigation.
