1 injured, 4 in custody after Richmond police pursuit ends in crash

RICHMOND, Va. – Four suspects are in police custody after a police pursuit through Richmond ended in a crash Friday evening.

Police said the pursuit for a stolen vehicle started around 5:25 p.m. in the Gilpin Court area. Investigators say the brief pursuit ended in a car crash on 7th and Duval Streets.

One person, not in the suspect’s car, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

After the crash, police say eight suspects fled from the stolen vehicle.

Investigators say four of the suspects were captured and are in police custody. Police say they have not confirmed what individuals will be charged at this time.
