Woman jailed after threatening to blow up Wawa

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — Police arrested a woman in connection to a summertime robbery at a Wawa in Colonial Heights.

Veronica D. Fludd, 45, was arrested on December 2. The crime she was accused of committing occurred June 14 at the Wawa located at 604 Boulevard.

“Employees reported the suspect obtained money by advising them she had a bomb in her back pack and would blow up the business,” a Colonial Heights Police spokesperson said.

Fludd was charged with three felonies:

Armed Robbery

Threaten to Bomb/Burn/Destroy

Wear a Mask to Conceal Identity.

Fludd, who police said lived at Ft. Lee, was booked without bond at Riverside Regional Jail.
