RICHMOND, Va. — Michael is a boy with a desire to be a part of a family. He enjoys outside activities and spending time with his sibling. Michael considers himself to be a challenge. When asked to explain himself he states, “Crazy in a good way!” Michael likes to have fun and laugh with others.

Michael is easily motivated and has a genuine love for his siblings. He is an athletic and outdoorsy person who loves to race, fish and hunt. Michael is also good with his hands and considers himself artistic and somewhat crafty. When it comes to music, he states that he loves to listen to it and write it when he is in a different frame of mind.

Although Michael has a large sweet tooth, food is also another favorite of Michael’s with pizza and shrimp being at the top of his list. His favorite drink to wash all that good food down with is Mountain Dew!

Since Michael has had numerous placements prior to his entry into foster care, it is important for him to have consistency and stability. Michael desires to be a part of a family that is open to accept him and meet him where he is currently. Michael has a sister and desires to remain in contact with her no matter where he is placed.

In Virginia, we have hundreds of children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts –A Deborah J Johnston Charity, celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids or sibling who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other almost 700 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own. To learn more and becoming a foster to adoption parent(s) click here.
