CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police are investigating after an SUV slammed into a house and left the driver with serious injuries Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the 3500 block of West Hundred Road a little before 11 a.m. The driver of the car was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that police said may be life-threatening.
Police said it is possible that the accident and the injuries the driver sustained may have been caused by a medical problem, but have not determined if that is true as of yet.
The driver's brother told WTVR CBS 6 that he is currently at VCU Medical Center in critical condition.
Housing inspectors and fire officials were also called to the scene and deemed the residence safe to occupy since the wall that was damaged was a non-load bearing one.
