Want a pet for the Holidays? Richmond shelters offering adoption specials

RICHMOND, Va. — If you would like a new addition to your family this holiday season, multiple Richmond shelters are offering pet adoption specials throughout December.

Richmond Animal League

The Richmond Animal League is offering $10 pet adoptions through their Operation Silent Night event that runs through December 9 to December 23.

The sixth annual event aims to find every pet a forever home for the holidays.

Along with reduced adoption fees, Operation Silent Night also stays open for longer. Monday through Friday the shelter will open from Noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday the shelter will open from Noon to 6 p.m.

Richmond Animal Care and Control

Richmond Animal Care and Control is also offering pet adoptions for the holiday season.

The shelter is offering $25 pet adoptions during an event that runs through December 9 to December 31.

The adoption center is open Wednesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday’s from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Richmond SPCA

Once again, the Richmond SPCA and Priority Automotive have teamed up to unite as many pets with loving homes as possible during the holiday season.

For the Priority Holiday Pet Adoptions event, Priority Automotive will cover 100% of pet adoption fees from Wednesday, December 7 through Tuesday, December 13.
