2 men arrested in connection with Nine Mile Road shooting

RICHMOND, Va. — Two Richmond men have been arrested in connection with a shooting on Nine Mile Road, near Fairmount on November 29.

Brandon M. Minns, 23, and Devonte Brown, 21, were arrested over the weekend and each charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Both men were taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The arrests are in connect with the shooting of a woman in Richmond’s Woodville neighborhood last month.

Richmond Police responded to a call for a shooting in the 2500 block of Nine Mile Road at 11:58 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29.

When police arrived at the scene they located a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
