CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Three teenagers were charged in connection with a Friday night brawl at Chesterfield Towne Center.
While Friday was Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year, the fight was not over a sale item.
A 15-year-old and an 18-year-old got into a fight over “words exchanged about girls they were with,” according to a Chesterfield Police spokesman.
As a crowd of friends surrounded the fighting teens, mall security called an off-duty Chesterfield Police officer for help.
Responding officers grabbed the teens by their wrists, and struggled with them on the floor, the police spokesperson said.
The 18-year-old, the 15-year-old, and a friend of 15-year-old were charged with disorderly conduct.
Police were called to the mall to break up the fight at about 8:45 Friday night.
