RICHMOND, Va. — Jim is a bubbly, imaginative, and energetic young man who has spent the majority of his childhood in foster care.

Jim remains resilient and thrives academically.

He enjoys engaging in basketball, arts and craft projects, and outdoor adventures of any kind.

Jim is fascinated with anything involving law enforcement or criminal justice matters and desires to pursue a career as a police officer or a judge.

Furthermore, Jim adores animals and favors interacting with dogs and horses.

Jim yearns for a forever family, one which shares his love for animals and are nurturing, patient, and adventurous.

Jim also has a younger brother which he wishes to maintain a lifelong connection with.

In Virginia, we have over 860 children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own.
