RICHMOND, Va. — Eric loves playing sports and benefits from having outlets for all of his energy. Due to previous family circumstances, Eric was the one who provided care for his younger brother. He had to relearn how to just be a little boy.

Since entering care, his behaviors have improved, and he will often attempt to guide others in the right direction. He participates in therapy where he works on issues related to his past. He sometimes feels very distressed and easily upset if he does something wrong.

Eric will benefit from having a safe and stable environment with an energetic family providing unconditional love and parental dedication. If you are that family, Eric is bound to keep you going as you keep him growing!

In Virginia, we have hundreds of children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own.
