WASHINGTON – Black Friday is no longer a day for discounts just on huge televisions, trendy electronics and housewares — these days all industries are vying for consumer money.

Amtrak announced its first-ever Black Friday sale for train tickets throughout its national network.

Customers will find savings of up to 30 percent on coach fares, in a four-day sale that starts Friday, Nov. 25 and runs through Monday, Nov. 28.

The sale fares will apply for travel between the dates of Dec. 10 to April 9.

Some restrictions apply and the sale will be available on coach fares only.

Blackout dates will also apply.

Amtrak said that full terms and conditions will be available on Friday, Nov. 25, the same day the sale begins.

Tickets are available only on Amtrak.com beginning on Nov. 25. You will also be able to check for the Black Friday sale on all Amtrak social media channels.
