HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- "Loving," the true story of an interracial Central Virginia couple whose marriage in 1958 led to a landmark Supreme Court case and the abolition of anti-marriage laws based on race, opened in movie theaters this month.

Actor Joel Edgerton played husband Richard Loving.

Loving was a mason, so Edgerton had to learn the skill in order to accurately portray Loving.

To learn the skill,  Edgerton went back to school.

He took masonry lessons with Forrest "Chris" Simmons
at The Academy at Virginia Randolph in Henrico last year.

Simmons retired last year, but came back to school to teach Nikki-Dee as part of her ongoing series Nikki-Dee Can You Be Me?.
