Two men found shot on Richmond street

RICHMOND, Va. -- Two men had to be rushed to the hospital after being found shot, according to Richmond Police.

Around 1:55 Monday morning, police responded to a call of shots fired on North 31st Street and T Street in Church Hill North.

When police got there, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds lying in the middle of the street.

Both men were taken to VCU Medical Center.

One of the shooting victim suffered a life-threatening injury, according to police.

Police have not released any information about a suspect in the shooting.

The Monday morning double shooting is one of at least a half dozen shootings reported in Richmond since Saturday.

On Saturday night, an 81-year-old man was shot on Orcutt Lane in South Richmond.

At 2:30 Sunday morning, a juvenile was shot in Mosby Court. At 4:30 a.m., a man was shot on Ivymount Road.

Later Sunday afternoon, a man was shot on North Avenue, near Fendall Avenue.

None of the shooting were initially reported as fatal, however police said in some cases the victims suffered life-threatening injuries.

Police asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
