The Pecan festival will feature live bands, a pecan pageant, a kids’ zone with petting zoo, face painting, pumpkin carving and painting, a pecan pie bake-off contest and food. Saucy’s BBQ, will unveil their new food truck. Beer, wine and cider will be available and Petersburg’s Trapezium Brewery will be unveiling its special Pecan Brew, developed especially for Richard Bland College using pecans from the groves. Richmond Zombie Walk
Saturday, Walk starts at the former Dixie Donuts around 2:30 p.m.
Dress up, walk or just watch the Zombies, the walk goes through Carytown, up to Nansemond, and ends up at the Byrd Theatre. Pre-walk meet up/staging area location at 1 pm will be held at Boat Lake at Byrd Park (on Boat Lake Drive) and the actual walk will begin on the sidewalk in front of the old Dixie Donuts location (2901 W Cary St) in Carytown immediately after at about 2 pm. Spirit of the Heart Community Education & Health Fair

Holiday Book Drive For Children
During the month of November, Haley Buick-GMC will partner with the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Christmas Mother Program to serve 2000+ children (birth–middle school) in low-income homes THROUGH LITERACY EMPOWERMENT!
The goal is to provide each child with at least 3 New books and unlimited “gently read” books for daily reading and home libraries. Haley Buick-GMC invites you to pack a Buick with books in its showroom and, in addition, Haley will contribute a DOLLAR PER BOOK for the first 600 books to the Christmas Mother Program which serves over 1500 local families in December with books, toys, food gift cards, and clothes.
